Articleship In R.Kothari & Co,Ca

We are located at 22/B Pratapaditya Road in Kolkata, down in the 700 026 area. This place is a bit different because we have a lot of students here doing their articleship training under R. Kothari. It makes the office feel quite energetic, even if we are all stressed out about exams or deadlines most of the time. There are desks squeezed into almost every corner to make room for everyone. We spend our days learning how to handle real-world audits and tax filings, which is a lot harder than the textbooks make it seem. The senior partners are usually busy, but they take the time to show us how things actually work in the field. There is a lot of paperwork to move around and plenty of data entry that needs to be perfect. The office isn't very large, so we all know what everyone else is working on. Sometimes we stay late into the evening, especially when it is time to close the yearly accounts. We often end up ordering food and working through the night. It is a bit of a grind, but it’s how we learn the trade. The building itself is an older one, and the stairs are a bit narrow, but it has a lot of character. We don't have any flashy signs or expensive furniture, just plenty of computers and even more calculators. It’s just a busy, practical place to learn and work every day of the week.
