Our team works out of Flat No. 7 in the Alapan Apartment. It is located at G/14 in the Rabindrapally area. Being in Kolkata 59 is alright, though the traffic can be a bit of a headache sometimes. The apartment building itself is older. You can see the wear and tear on the stairs, but it has a bit of character. Analytic Consultants Pvt. Ltd. is not trying to be some big corporate entity with glass walls. We like it here because it is quiet enough to think. We have a small kitchen area where we make tea. The lighting is okay, but we usually keep the balcony door open for some fresh air. People in the other flats know us by now. We are just those folks who come in and sit at computers all day. It’s a short walk to the main market if we need anything for lunch. Sometimes the power flickers, but we have a backup for that. We do not have fancy uniforms or anything. Just casual clothes and a lot of focus on the data we handle. It is a very grounded way to work. We have been here for a while and have no real plans to move. It fits us well enough for what we do. We share the space with a few dusty books and old files. It is a very normal place to be from nine to five.
