Amit Biotech (P) Ltd. is based in Unit No. 21 on the third floor of 21, Ballygunge Circular Road. It’s a relatively quiet spot compared to some of the industrial zones. Being on the third floor gives us a bit of a view, though we are usually too busy looking at lab reports or inventory lists to notice. We work in the biotech sector, but we aren't a giant lab with hundreds of people in white coats. We are a smaller team managing the distribution and technical side of things. The office is full of files and specialized equipment that we have to keep track of. Ballygunge Circular Road is a nice part of town, and we’ve been here long enough that the neighbors know us. We spend our time coordinating with researchers and manufacturers. It’s a lot of careful work because the products we handle are quite sensitive. We don’t go in for big marketing campaigns or corporate slogans. We just focus on making sure the supplies are handled correctly and delivered on time. Sometimes the paperwork for the biological certifications is a real mountain to climb, but we get through it. It’s just steady, methodical work that requires a lot of attention to detail. We just do our bit in the industry and try to stay organized through all the technical requirements we face daily.
