If you’re ever walking through Machhua Bazar, you know how crowded it gets around Mahatma Gandhi Road. Our place, Ambay Fashion, is right in the middle of all that hustle at No. 134 on the 1st Floor. It’s pretty easy to spot because we are quite close to the Himalay Hotel. Burra Bazaar is always a bit of a maze, but once you get up to the first floor, it’s a bit more manageable than the street level. We’ve been here for some time now, and we’ve gotten used to the noise of the traffic and the people shouting down on MG Road. The shop isn’t fancy, just a regular space where we keep our fashion items and handle our daily business. Sometimes the stairs are a bit steep when you’re carrying things up, but you get used to it. Being near Machhua in Kolkata means there is always something going on outside our windows. We mostly just focus on our stock and making sure things are moving along. It’s a busy life here, but we like being part of this old neighborhood. There are always deliveries coming in and out, and the tea stall nearby is where we usually grab a quick drink. It’s not a corporate office or anything, just a local spot where we do our thing every day without too much fuss. We just focus on the clothes and getting the work done.
