It’s a hospital but also an institute, so there is always a bit of learning going on alongside the medical work. It’s a lively place because of that. You have the doctors doing their rounds and then you have people learning the ropes. It makes for an interesting atmosphere. The building, Dolly Lodge, has its own character. It’s not your typical sterile-looking hospital environment. We’ve got different sections for different needs. Some days are just chaotic, especially when there’s a lot of people coming in for training or for checkups. We try to keep a handle on it. It’s a lot of walking up and down the halls. We don't have a fancy mission statement on the wall or anything. We just show up, do the medical work, and help the students. It’s a practical way to run things. Rabindra Nagar is a good spot for us, and we’ve become part of the scenery here. We spend a lot of time on maintenance because an old building used for a hospital needs a lot of looking after. It’s just us, the staff and the students, trying to make the most of the space we have. It’s hard work, but it’s what we do every day. There is always someone around, even late at night, because the work never stops.
