Wahi Classes

Our place is over in Vidya Nagar, right in that part of Kolhapur with the 416004 pin code. It is a decent area to be in. We have a few rooms where the students sit. It’s not a huge building, just a standard setup where we can get through the books. The walls are painted a light color, but there are marks where benches have rubbed against them over the years. We don’t mind it much. In the mornings, it is usually quiet around here, but by four o'clock, the street starts getting more life as students arrive. Sometimes we have to remind everyone to leave their shoes neatly by the door so people don't trip. There is no big sign with flashing lights or anything like that. Just a simple nameplate so you know you are at the right spot. We use ordinary chalk and boards mostly. If the weather is nice, the breeze comes through the side window which makes it better for everyone. Life in Vidya Nagar is pretty steady. We’ve seen many batches of kids come through these doors. They sit in the same spots their older siblings probably sat in years ago. It’s a local spot, nothing more and nothing less. We just open the doors every day and wait for the students to show up with their bags and notebooks. It’s a practical way to spend the day.
