C.Rajarshi Shah Classes

We’ve been here in Sangli for a while now, just running these classes on a daily basis. Most mornings start early, usually before the sun is even fully up, because that’s when the first batch of students likes to come in. The building isn't anything fancy, just a few rooms with enough benches and some old whiteboards that we have to scrub hard to get clean. You can hear the traffic from the street outside sometimes, but the students usually just put their heads down and get to work anyway. It gets pretty crowded in the afternoons when the schools let out. We spend a lot of time just talking to parents who stop by after work, mostly worried about how their kids are doing with their exams. Sometimes we drink a lot of tea while grading papers or just sitting around during the short breaks. There’s always a bit of dust because it’s a busy area, but that’s just how things are here. We don’t have a big office or anything like that. It’s just us and the students, day in and day out. Some of the kids have been coming here for a few years now, so they feel more like family than just names on a register. We try to keep the lights on and the books ready. It’s just a normal place where people come to learn and we do our part to keep it running smoothly without too much fuss.
