We started Vitthalnamdev Patil Agro Producer Company Limited right here in Udanwadgaon. It's mostly just us local folks from the area working together on the land. My name is part of the group, and we operate out of Nilavati Mohan Chavan’s place. There isn't a fancy office or anything like that. We just focus on the crops and making sure the harvest gets handled right. Farming is hard work, as anyone around here knows. Most days are spent out in the fields or figuring out the seeds and fertilizers. We decided to form this company because doing things alone wasn't working out as well. When a few of us get together, we can share the tools and maybe get a better handle on the market prices. It’s a lot of paperwork, which none of us really like, but it helps keep things official. The weather is always a gamble, so we try to support each other when the rains don't come or when they come too much. We aren't trying to be some big corporation. We just want to make a living from our soil and keep the village moving forward. If you come by Udanwadgaon, you'll see us working. We don't have a big marketing team. It’s just neighbors helping neighbors out. We deal with the daily struggles of pests and soil quality. That is our life every day. We hope for a good harvest every single year.
