Gagantara Farmers Producer Company Limited is located at House Number 48 in the village of Shenawade. This is in the Gaganbawada taluka. If you’ve ever been to this area, you know it gets very green. We are a group of local farmers who decided to join up. There isn't a lot of mystery behind why we did it. We just use this house as our main spot to keep the books and have our meetings. Shenawade is a small place, so everyone knows where House Number 48 is. We don't have a lobby or an office staff. It’s just us. Sometimes the house is full of people and other times it’s quiet while everyone is out working. We spend a lot of time worrying about the monsoon because Gaganbawada gets a lot of rain. Our work is pretty basic. we grow things and we try to sell them. Having the company name helps us when we need to buy things for the farms. It’s a bit of a struggle with all the rules and papers, but we get through it. We aren't looking to become famous or anything. We just want to make sure the farming families around here can keep going. It’s a practical way to live. We sit on the porch and discuss what needs doing next. That’s the reality of Gagantara. It’s just us working the land in our village.
