Bormalnath Farmers Producer Company Limited is situated at House Number 24 in the village of Sashte. That’s over in the Haveli taluka, near Post Kolwadi. We are just a local group of farmers who decided to come together to manage our crops better. Our house office isn’t much to look at, but it gets the job done for the people living around here. In Sashte, everyone knows everyone, so it makes sense to have our base right in the heart of the village. Most days are spent checking on the fields or discussing the prices of seeds and fertilizer. It’s a very hands-on kind of life. We don't use any big words or have complicated systems. We just write things down and try to help each other out with the harvest. Being in Haveli, we are close to the markets, but we prefer the quiet of the village for our main operations. It’s just a handful of us running things. We deal with whatever the season brings, whether it’s good rain or a dry spell. You won't find any shiny brochures here, just plain talk and hard work. House number 24 is where the meetings happen. It feels more like a home than an office, which is fine by us. We are just simple people doing our best to keep the farming tradition going in this part of Maharashtra. It is hard work, but we are used to it.
