Dattayog Farmer Producer Company Limited is located at Gut Number 59 in Kurundwad. This is in the Shirol taluka. We operate out of the place belonging to Sawagave Babaso Kallappa. It’s our central point for everything we do. Kurundwad is a good place for farming, but it’s hard work every day of the week. We started this company because we were tired of doing everything alone. When you are a group, you can talk to the buyers with more confidence. It’s been a bit of a change for us, dealing with all the legal stuff and registration papers. None of us really likes the office work. We’d much rather be out in the dirt. But we meet up at G.No.59 and go over the accounts. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy waiting room. If you show up, you might have to wait a bit while we finish something up. We are just local farmers from Shirol. We don't make big promises or use marketing talk. We just show up and do the work. The company is owned by us, the people who grow the food. We share the costs and we help each other out when someone has a problem. It’s a very simple and direct way of doing business. Dattayog is just a way for us to keep our community strong and our farms running year after year.
