Shri Acadamy

Shri Acadamy is located on Panchamukhi Maruti Road in Sangli. It is a busy street with a lot of foot traffic, especially during the festival seasons. We have a small sign out front, but most people find us because they live nearby or heard about us from a neighbor. The classroom is essentially one big room that we have divided up a little bit to accommodate different groups. The walls are mostly bare, except for a few schedules taped up near the door so the kids know when to show up. Working in the 416416 area means we see a lot of the same families year after year. We have seen younger siblings come in after their older brothers and sisters have finished their schooling. The benches are old and sometimes they creak when someone moves, but they are sturdy enough for a long day of study. We spend the afternoons going over math problems or science chapters, often using the same old chalkboards we've had since we opened. It is nothing fancy, and we don't try to make it seem like anything other than what it is: a place to study. Sometimes the street noise gets a bit loud, but usually, once everyone gets into their work, they don't notice it much. We just keep things moving, making sure the lessons are covered and that everyone has a chance to ask their questions before we lock up for the night.
