Poorva Foods

Poorva Foods is located on Nandhni Road in Awchitnagar. We are in the Kolapur district, quite close to the Abhay Pepsi plant. People use that as a landmark to find us. We make different kinds of food items that are common in this region. It’s a small team here, mostly just local people from the nearby houses. We started this because we wanted to do something productive with the local ingredients. The shed we work in is simple, but it has everything we need. Nandhni Road gets a lot of trucks passing by, so it’s never really quiet. We don't have any big corporate plans. We just want to sell stuff to the people around here and maybe a few shops in town. Sometimes the rains make the road a bit messy, but customers still show up. We do a lot of the packing ourselves. It’s a lot of manual labor and we stay pretty tired by the end of the day. But it’s our own business, so we don't mind the sweat. My kids help out after school sometimes when there is a big order. We keep the prices fair so everyone can afford it. It’s just a basic local business trying to do things right every day. We don't need much more than the work we have in front of us and a few good neighbors.
