Out here at F/37 in MIDC Gokul Shirgaon, things are pretty steady. Marye Foods isn't a massive factory, but we keep busy enough. The industrial area is a bit out of the way, which is fine by us. We spend most of the day on the production floor. There’s always a lot of cleaning to do because when you work with food, you can’t have any mess. We have a small group of workers who show up every morning, and we just get on with the day's list. The machinery has its own quirks, like the one packer that needs a bit of a nudge sometimes to keep it straight. It gets quite warm in the afternoons, so we usually take our breaks near the big open door where there’s a bit of a breeze. We don’t do a lot of fancy advertising or anything like that. We just focus on getting the orders ready and loaded onto the trucks that come by. Sometimes the logistics get a bit messy if a driver gets lost finding the plot, but usually, it’s just the same routine day in and day out. We write our notes on a whiteboard in the corner and hope nobody wipes it off by mistake. It’s a basic way to run things, but it gets the job done without much fuss. We just keep our heads down and keep the lines moving.
