Parivartan Academy

You can find us over at the Shahu Soot Kapad Kamgar Sangh building on Kothitirth Market Road. We are right in the Bagal Chowk area of Kolhapur, specifically across from the old Shahu Mill. The academy is basically a set of classrooms where we help students with their lessons. Being in a market area means it is never really quiet. There is always the sound of motorcycles, vendors shouting, and the general bustle of Kolhapur life right outside our front door. Our space is inside the 416002 zip code, and it’s a very local, down-to-earth environment. We have desks that have been used by many batches of students over the years, and you can tell by the marks on the wood. We don’t have a fancy reception desk or anything. Usually, one of us is just sitting near the entrance with a notebook to keep track of attendance. The stairs up to the academy are a bit steep, but the students don't seem to mind. We spend our evenings explaining concepts and checking homework. It’s hard work, and the fans have to stay on full blast because it gets quite warm in here. We are just a group of people trying to provide a decent place for learning in this busy part of town near the mill. It takes a lot of patience to run a place like this every day.
