Headway Academy

We are located in Kolhapur, specifically in the second lane of Rajarampuri. Our space is in the Shravani building, at number 201. If you know where Janta Bazar is, we are just behind it. It’s a convenient spot for local people. We’ve been running this academy for several years now. It started out quite small and it hasn’t changed that much since then. We have a few whiteboards and rows of benches that have seen a lot of use. We don't use any fancy technology, just markers and talk. The building itself is quite plain. We share the space with a few other offices, so you’ll see all sorts of people in the hallway. We spend our mornings preparing and our evenings are usually full of students coming in after their regular school hours. It can get a bit hectic when everyone arrives at once. We don’t have a formal dress code or anything like that. We just wear what’s comfortable and get to work. Sometimes we sit out on the small balcony during breaks to get some fresh air. The street noise from Rajarampuri is always there, but it feels like home to us. We don't have a big mission statement on the wall. We just want to make sure that when a student leaves, they know a bit more than when they came in. It’s practical work and we enjoy the routine of it.
