Mitkar Academy

Mitkar Academy is situated on Mangalwar Peth Nagar Parishad Road here in Kolhapur. Being in the 416003 area means we are right in the middle of a very active part of town. The road outside can get quite loud with all the scooters and people going about their business, but inside we try to keep things focused. We have a few rooms set up for our classes, and they are pretty basic. No one here is trying to win any design awards. We just want a place where people can sit down and get their work done. We handle everything from the cleaning to the scheduling ourselves. It is a small team, mostly just family and a few helpers. We have been here long enough that we feel like a permanent part of the street. We don't have a fancy website or a big social media presence. Most people just walk in because they saw our name on the door while passing by on Nagar Parishad Road. We talk to everyone like they are our neighbors, because they usually are. It is a very grounded way to run an academy. We focus on the daily tasks and making sure the students have what they need for their lessons. It’s just a normal, local business doing its best in a busy part of Kolhapur. The floor is just plain tiles and we keep a small clock on the wall to keep track of the time during our sessions.
