Out in Hirlage village, in the Gadhinglaj area of Kolhapur, we have our fertilizer business. The address is M No. 808, and it’s right where all the action happens. We spend our days dealing with organic stuff, so there is always a bit of a smell around, but that’s just how fertilizer is. It’s a messy job, honestly. We spend a lot of time mixing things and making sure the bags are filled up properly. Farmers from all around Kolhapur come by to pick up what they need for their crops. We aren't some big city company with a glossy office. Our floors are usually covered in a bit of dust and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint. Krushiseva Bio-Organic is just a small team of us working hard to keep things moving. We talk a lot with the local farmers about their soil and what seems to be working for them this year. Sometimes the machinery acts up and we have to spend the afternoon with a wrench in hand. It’s just the reality of running a production place in a small village like Hirlage. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing department. We just focus on making the fertilizer and getting it out to the people who need it. It’s simple, honest work that keeps us busy from sunrise until the sun goes down over the fields.
