Kawakasya Agro Chem Private Limited is based in the village of Koor, which is part of Bhudargad in the Kolhapur district. We run the business out of Shivaji Dnyanu Kumbhar’s place. It is a very local setup. In this part of Kolhapur, farming is everything, but getting the right supplies for the crops can be a real headache sometimes. That is why we started this company. We wanted to make sure that people around Koor had a reliable place to get what they need for their soil and plants. We are not scientists in white coats. We are people who have grown up seeing how the weather and the right chemicals can change a whole season. Our office doesn't have a sign that lights up or anything like that. People just know where to find us when they need help with their crops. We spend a lot of time on the phone or out visiting nearby farms to see how things are growing. It's a lot of driving on bumpy roads and talking over tea. We handle the distribution and the sales ourselves because we want to know exactly what is going to our neighbors. Sometimes the paperwork gets backed up because we’d rather be outside than behind a desk, but we manage to get through it. We just want to keep the farms in Bhudargad healthy and productive using what we know.
