Indian Sugar Factory

Our factory is over at 64/28-9 in the Havinai area. It is a noisy place with a lot of big machines running most of the day. We handle a lot of sugar here, so the air usually smells a bit sweet, though you get used to it fast. The floors can get a bit sticky if we aren't careful, so we spend a lot of time cleaning up spills. We have a bunch of guys who work the shifts, loading the heavy sacks onto trucks that come in and out. It is hard work and everyone is usually pretty tired by the end of the day. We don't have a big fancy office or anything like that. There is just a small room with a desk and some old chairs where we keep the paperwork. Havinai is mostly industrial, so we fit right in with the other warehouses nearby. The machinery is old but it works fine as long as we keep it oiled. Sometimes a belt snaps and we have to stop everything to fix it. We drink our tea outside in the shade when we get a break. It's not a complicated business, we just process the sugar and get it ready for the markets. We've been doing this for years now and it’s just our daily routine. The trucks start arriving around six in the morning and that's when our day really begins.
