Hotel Natraj

Our hotel is located in Shahupuri, right on the road where Apsaras talkies is. Having a cinema hall so close means there’s always a crowd nearby, especially when a big movie is playing. Kolhapur is a city with a lot of character, and Shahupuri is one of those busy neighborhoods where everyone seems to know each other. We are a small establishment. We have the restaurant on the ground floor and the rooms above. Most people come here for the food first and then realize we have rooms too. It’s not a polished corporate hotel. We have some old furniture and the walls aren't perfectly straight, but it’s home to us. We serve local food that we like to eat ourselves. The staff are just regular guys from around here. We don't have a big fancy entrance. You just walk in and someone will help you at the counter. In the evenings, the street gets really lively with street food vendors and people going to the movies. It’s a bit noisy, but it’s a good kind of energy. We do our own laundry and cleaning. It’s a lot of work but it keeps us busy. We don't try to be something we’re not. We are just a local spot for people to eat and stay without spending too much money. It’s worked for us for quite a few years now and we just keep going day by day.
