Marine Oasis Beach Resort

We are located right on Tarkarli Beach, not too far from the Datta Mandir. It is a really quiet spot most of the time, though we spend most of our hours working rather than sitting on the sand. We have a few rooms here for guests who want to escape the city for a while. Being so close to the ocean means we are constantly fighting a battle against the sand and the salt air, which seems to get into everything. We are not a fancy five-star resort with a bunch of rules and staff in uniforms. We are just a small place where you can get a good night's sleep and a simple meal. Most of our staff are local people from the village nearby. We hear the bells from the Datta Mandir throughout the day, which is quite nice. We do not have a massive kitchen, we just cook whatever is fresh and available. Sometimes the Wi-Fi acts up when the weather is bad, but most people do not seem to mind too much. We spend our mornings sweeping the porch and making sure the water tanks are full. At night, we just sit and listen to the waves hitting the shore. It is a very simple way of living and running a business. We enjoy seeing the same families come back year after year. It feels more like hosting friends than managing a list of customers.
