Out here in Parite village, things move a bit slower than they do in the middle of Kolhapur. Fluent Farming Private Limited is based at 996 At Po Parite, and it’s a place we’ve been working out of for a good bit now. It’s right in the Karveer taluka. Farming in this area means dealing with the ups and downs of the local weather, which can be a real headache sometimes. We spend most of our time out on the land, checking on things and making sure the equipment isn't breaking down. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we know how to do. There isn't a big staff here, just a few of us who grew up around these fields. We don't use a lot of big words or have fancy meetings in boardrooms. Mostly, we just talk over the fence or while we’re moving supplies. The address is simple to find if you're local, but it's just a regular spot in the village. We handle our own business and try to keep things moving forward. Some seasons are better than others, and you just have to take what comes. We don't have a mission statement or anything like that stuck on the wall. We just show up every morning and get to work because the farm doesn't wait for anyone. The cows in the neighbor's field are usually the only ones making much noise in the afternoons.
