Our office is at 35 Vakhar Bhag. It's an older area, and the building has been around for a long time. People come here to talk about food processing and how things are being packaged these days. It’s more of a hub for people in the industry to gather and share what they know about the business. We have a lot of folders and technical manuals sitting on the shelves that haven't been moved in years. Most days, someone is stopping by with questions about regulations or some new type of machinery they saw. We don't have a big corporate staff. It’s just a few of us handling the association’s business every day. The fans overhead hum all day long. Sometimes we host small meetings in the back room where the table is a bit wobbly. Vakhar Bhag can be quite busy during the business hours, with trucks and laborers moving around constantly. We try to keep things moving for the members who rely on us. It isn't about making a big profit, just keeping the industry folk connected to each other. We spend a lot of time on the phone or writing letters to different offices. The light in the office is a bit dim, but we've got enough lamps. It’s a practical place for practical people. No one here wears a suit unless there’s a really big event. Mostly, it’s just plain shirts and lots of work. We’ve been part of this community for years and know most people.
