Vitthal Marbles

You can find Vitthal Marbles out in the Bewanja Riico Industrial Area, which is located in the village of Dilwara. It is on the way towards Nasirabad if you are coming from the Ajmer side. It is a bit of a drive from the main city center, but we like it because it is much quieter here than in the middle of all that town traffic. We have a decent sized space for our stone blocks and all the cut slabs we keep. The whole area around us is mostly other factories and industrial plots. Sometimes it feels a little bit isolated out here, but the trucks find their way to us easily enough. We started this place because the land was available and it is close to the main transport routes for the lorries. Most days it is just us and the crane operator moving things from one side of the yard to the other. The ground is almost always covered in a bit of slurry from the water we use during the cutting process. We don’t get many walk-in customers because of where we are located, but people who need marble for bigger projects usually know where to find us. We sit in a small cabin when the sun gets too hot to be outside. My brother handles the sourcing from the various mines. We just try to get our daily work done. It’s hard work.
