Anamika Marbles & Granites Pvt. Ltd.

Our yard is located at E-266 in the Phase Industrial Area. It is a pretty big space because we need the room to store all the heavy marble and granite slabs. At Anamika Marbles & Granites Pvt. Ltd., we spend most of our daylight hours moving these stones around with the overhead crane. It can be a bit like a maze in the back with all the different colors and patterns of stone stacked up against each other. We get trucks coming in from different quarries, and sometimes we find that a slab has a crack or a chip from the bumpy ride, which is just part of the frustration of the business. We have to look through everything to see what can still be used for smaller pieces. The area where we cut the stone is always wet because we use water to keep the saws from getting too hot. It is a messy job, and usually, our boots are covered in stone mud by the time we finish for the day. We do not have a fancy showroom with lights and carpets. People just come down to the industrial area, walk through the stacks of stone, and pick out what they need for their floors or counters. It is a very practical way to run things. We try to keep our inventory lists right, but it gets a bit chaotic when three trucks show up at once.
