If you head down Makrana Road towards Kali Dongri, you’ll see Siddhant Stones Pvt. Ltd. We are situated near the LGM landmark. This part of Madanganj is always covered in a thin layer of white dust from all the stone work happening around us. We have been working out of this yard for quite some time now. It’s not a quiet place at all. Between the trucks backing up and the sound of the cranes, there is always something going on. We deal with all sorts of stone, mostly what we can get from the nearby quarries. The guys in the yard know how to handle the heavy stuff without getting hurt. It’s a skill you learn after a few years of doing it. We have a small office where we sit when the sun gets too bright, but mostly we are outside. The ground is uneven and there are stacks of stone everywhere you look. It’s just how it is in this industry. People know where we are. We just focus on getting the blocks cut and moved out to the customers. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait around, but usually, we are working from sunrise. We have some old benches under a tree where we sit when the machines are being serviced. It’s a good time to talk and have some tea. The road outside is always full of lorries, and sometimes it takes forever just to get out of the gate. But that is just how life is on Makrana Road.
