We have our yard at B-262-A and E-263 on Tunkra Road in the 4th Phase. It is a busy part of Madanganj and there is always noise from the trucks going by. We deal with marble and granite slabs every single day. The ground is usually covered in white dust from the cutting we do. We don't have a polished office with glass walls or anything like that. It is just a small room with a wooden table and a few chairs for when people come to talk. We spend most of our time outside in the yard anyway. We have to check the blocks when they arrive from the quarry. Some have better patterns than others. We use an old crane to lift the heavy pieces. It groans a bit but it gets the job done. My cousin helps me with the books and the phone calls. Sometimes we eat lunch under the shade of the back wall when it gets too hot. We don't have a big staff, just a few local guys who know how to handle the stone. We have been here for years and seen the industrial area grow up around us. We don't bother with fancy slogans or big advertisements. People just know we are here on Tunkra Road. We try to be helpful when someone asks about a specific kind of marble. It is hard work and our clothes are always stained with slurry. But it is what we know. We just keep going and get the orders ready for the trucks.
