Over at Plot No. E 292 on Paryavaran Marg, things stay pretty busy for us at Shree Raghupati Stonex Pvt. Ltd. The yard isn't the biggest, but we pack a lot of stone into the space we have. You’ll usually find a couple of us standing near the entrance, probably drinking tea or checking a delivery note. We deal with all sorts of stone pieces that come in from different places. Some look better polished and some are just raw. Madanganj is a place where everyone knows someone in the stone business, so we mostly just focus on our own corner of the road. The guys working the loaders have to be careful because moving those big slabs is tricky business. One wrong move and you’ve lost a whole week of work. We don't spend much time on fancy offices. Most of the real stuff happens outside where the inventory is. When a customer walks in, they usually have a rough idea of what they need, and we just point them to the right section. The dust is something you just get used to after a week or two. It covers the trucks, the floor, and the chairs. We keep the water running to help with the cutting and to keep the heat down a bit. It’s just a regular local spot where we try to keep the blocks moving out on time. We take it one truckload at a time and don't worry too much about the rest.
