Shree Pawansut Marble

We are based at Makrana Choraha in the industrial area of Ajmer district. This whole part of the country is known for stone, so we are right in the middle of it all. Our yard at Shree Pawansut Marble is always busy. There are trucks coming in with raw blocks and others leaving with finished slabs. The sound of the saws is something you just get used to after a couple of days. Everything here is covered in a fine layer of white dust, from the office desk to the trees outside. It’s just the nature of the marble business. We aren't a fancy outfit with a glass front and polished floors. Our floor is just concrete and stone. We spend our time talking to contractors and homeowners who are looking for something decent for their floors or stairs. We show them what we have in the yard and they pick what they like. It’s an honest way to work. There are a few of us here who have been doing this for years, so we know which blocks are going to be good and which ones might have flaws inside. We don't use any big marketing words to describe what we do. It’s just moving and cutting stone. It’s hard, heavy work but it keeps us busy. We stay until the last truck is loaded and then we do it all over again the next morning.
