Sai Marble & Chips

Out here on the Jaipur Ajmer Highway in Kishangarh, the ground is almost always white from all the marble dust. Our yard, Sai Marble & Chips, is located right near the Dena Bank, which is how most people find us when they are driving down the main road. It is a big, open space where we keep all the different types of chips and stones we have. Working in Kishangarh means you are always around trucks and heavy machinery. We spend our days loading up bags and making sure the inventory is right. It gets very hot in the afternoons, so we usually take a break in the shade of the small office. We aren’t a huge corporation, just a local business trying to keep the supplies moving for the builders and the folks fixing up their homes. The village is quiet but the highway is always busy. We see a lot of people passing through on their way to Jaipur. Sometimes they stop just to ask for directions, and that is fine too. We have been here for a while, and we’ve seen the highway get wider and the bank change its name, but we stay pretty much the same. We just focus on doing the work and getting the orders out on time without making a big fuss about it. It’s a gritty job, but it’s our job. We like it here and keep things moving every day.
