Riya Marble

Riya Marble is based in the Riico Idi Area on Makrana Road. This whole area is known for stone, so we fit right in with all the other yards. There’s always the sound of saws and the smell of wet stone around here. We’ve got our own patch where we keep our stock. It’s mostly local marble from the nearby quarries. We spend our time checking the quality of the slabs as they arrive. My cousins and I run the place together. It’s a family thing, really. We don't have a fancy office, just a small room with a fan and some chairs for when customers want to sit down and talk prices. Most of the time we are out on the lot, pointing out the veins and colors in the stone to whoever stops by. The road can get pretty muddy when it rains, making it hard for the trucks, but that’s just part of the business in this industrial zone. We’ve been here for a few years now. We know the other shop owners on Makrana Road and we all just try to get our work done. It’s a tough job moving these heavy pieces, but we’ve got the right tools for it. We keep our overhead low and just focus on what’s in the yard.
