Our place, Rana Bai Stonex Pvt. Ltd., is out in the 4th Phase of the RIICO area. The specific spot is F-458 on Paryavaran Marg in Madan Ganj. Being out in the 4th Phase means we have a bit more space, but it also means it’s a long trek for some people. We have been operating here for several years now. The day starts early with the sound of engines and the smell of grease. We spend a lot of time looking at different blocks and deciding how they should be cut. It is a bit of a puzzle sometimes. The office isn't anything special, just a place to keep the books and take a break. We have a few trees planted near the entrance to give a bit of shade, which is nice in the summer heat. We don't really bother with big advertisements. Most of our work comes from people who know us or have heard about our yard. It’s a lot of manual labor, and the guys working here are tough. We deal with the ups and downs of the market just like everyone else around here. Some weeks are incredibly busy and we can barely keep up. Other weeks are quieter and we spend time cleaning up the yard. We just try to be fair and do a good job with what we have. It’s a simple business model based on hard work. We stay until the job is done.
