Radha Sarveshwar Granite

Our business is located in the village of Roopangarh, which is out in the Ajmer district. We are right near the main market, so it’s easy for people in the Taluka to find us. Being in a village means things move a bit slower than in the big cities, but the work is still just as hard. We deal with a lot of granite that comes from the local area. The slabs are huge and take a lot of muscle and machinery to move around. The dust here in Roopangarh is part of the landscape, and our yard is no different. We spend our days out in the sun, sorting through stones and talking to local builders. It’s a small community, so everyone knows who we are and where we are. We don't have a website or a bunch of fancy office equipment. We just have the stone and the tools we use to work it. Sometimes people stop by just to chat while they are at the market. It’s a very local way of doing things. We take pride in the fact that we are part of this village and help people build their homes with the stone from this region. It’s a lot of sweating and heavy lifting, but it’s what we do. We start early in the morning when the air is still cool before the Rajasthan heat really kicks in. It’s just us here, working the stone day after day.
