R. Kothari Marbles

You can find R. Kothari Marbles on Harmada Road in Madanagnj. We are really close to the main Marble Mandi, which is the heart of everything around here. The road outside stays busy with tractors and trucks carrying big blocks of stone. It is a noisy place, but we don't really notice it anymore after all these years. Our office is just a small room where we keep the books and drink our chai. We spend most of our time out in the yard looking at the slabs and making sure everything is where it should be. The sun can be quite brutal on Harmada Road, so we have some shade, but it still gets hot. We are just regular people trying to do a decent job. Sometimes things go wrong, a machine breaks or a truck is late, but we just deal with it as it comes. There is no corporate ladder here, just us and the guys who help with the loading. We see a lot of people coming through looking for specific types of marble, and we just show them what is in the stacks. It is a practical way to live. Madanagnj is a town built on this stone, and we are just a small part of that tradition. We don't have any big speeches to give about what we do. We just keep our heads down and get on with the day.
