Prince Marbles

Prince Marbles is located over at Plot No. 1/8 in the Housing Board Colony. We are in Madanganj, quite close to the Kali Mandir. You can usually hear the bells from the temple if the wind is right. We have been working with stone and marble for quite some time now. The yard is full of different slabs and tiles. It gets dusty, but that’s just how it is with this kind of work. We spend our mornings moving pieces around so people can see the patterns. It's heavy work and my back feels it some days. Customers come in looking for something for their floors or kitchens. We just show them what we have in the back. There’s no fancy showroom here, just the actual stone sitting out in the sun. We try to keep things organized but it’s hard when new loads arrive. The colony is a nice place to be based. It’s easy for people to find us once they get to the temple area. We don’t do much advertising, mostly just people telling their neighbors about us. It’s a steady life. We wake up, open the gates, and start sorting through the inventory. Sometimes the colors of the marble are really different from one batch to the next. We just tell people to look closely before they pick. It’s an honest way to make a living. There is a lot of lifting involved every single day.
