You can find P.K. Marbles Pvt. Ltd. out in the III Phase of the Industrial Area in Madanganj, specifically at Plot F-173. Being in this newer phase means we have a bit more space to breathe compared to the old parts of town. We spend our mornings sorting through the new arrivals. The stone blocks come in on big trailers, and it takes a lot of effort to get them settled into place. We use a lot of water for the cutting process, so the ground is almost always damp around the machines. It is a very hands-on job. You have to use your eyes and your hands to tell if a piece of marble is worth the trouble. We don't use a lot of big words to describe what we sell. It is just stone from the ground that we cut up into pieces people can use for their floors or stairs. Some days are slow, just waiting for a crane to be fixed or a truck to show up. Other days, we have three or four orders going out at once and everyone is shouting to be heard over the noise. We keep a small room for the paperwork, but most of our time is spent out where the slabs are. It’s a practical life, working with what the earth gives us. We don't bother with fancy brochures or anything like that. If the stone is good, people will buy it, and that is what we focus on every single day.
