Pink City Marble Pvt. Ltd. operates out of F-28-29 on the second Prayavaran Road in the Phase-3 industrial area. We are a bit further out in District Ajmer, but it is where all the action is for stone. The yard is a busy place from early morning until the sun goes down. We have two plots here to manage all the different types of marble that come through the gates. Even though the name sounds formal, we are just regular people working in the dust and heat. Most of the day is spent on the phone or out in the yard checking the slabs. The stones come in all sorts of patterns and we have to sort them so people can see what they are looking at. It is heavy, physical work and our clothes usually end up covered in white powder by lunchtime. We don't have any polished sales pitches or fancy brochures to show. We just show you what is sitting on the ground. The trucks come in from the main road and it can get a bit crowded when everyone is trying to load at the same time. We have lived and worked in Madanganj for a long time, so we know the local ways. It is just a matter of showing up and getting the stones moved to where they need to go.
