Ankit Marbles

We have been operating out of Plot No. 21- A in the Madhuvan Industrial Area for quite some time now. It is a busy place, mostly filled with the sound of trucks coming and going. If you come by our gate, you will see slabs of marble stacked up against the walls. We don't have a fancy showroom with air conditioning or anything like that. It is just a work site where we handle the stone and talk to people about what they need for their houses. My brother and I usually handle the daily stuff. Some days are slow, especially when the weather gets too hot and the workers need more breaks. We spend a lot of time checking the edges of the stones because that is where the cracks usually happen. People around here know where we are because we’ve been in this spot for years. The dust is everywhere, you can’t really avoid it in this business. We use water to keep it down but it only does so much. Most of our day is spent on the phone or walking around the yard showing different blocks to builders. We don’t do big advertisements. Most people just find us by driving through the industrial area or hearing about us from someone else in the trade. It is straightforward work. We load the trucks, we unload them, and we make sure the pieces are what the person asked for before they leave.
