Patani Marble & Stones

Patani Marble & Stones is over at G-11 in the Old Industrial Area of Madanganj. It’s an older part of the city, and the roads can be a bit bumpy, but it’s where we’ve always been. We deal in both marble and various other stones. The yard isn't the biggest, but we try to keep a good variety so there is something for everyone who stops by. We mostly work with local builders and people from the surrounding villages. They know they can come here and get a straight answer about what we have in stock and what we don't. We don't use any fancy sales tactics or brochures. We just show the stone, maybe pour some water on it so you can see the grain better, and that’s about it. It’s a lot of physical labor. My hands are usually rough and calloused from handling the sharp edges of the slabs. We have a couple of machines for cutting, and they make a lot of noise throughout the day, but you get used to it after a while. Most days we are just busy keeping things tidy and helping customers who wander in. We don't have a big corporate office or even a website that we keep up with. We just stay here at the yard. If the gate is open, you can bet we are working. It’s a basic way to run a business, but it works for us.
