We are located at F-42 in the old industrial area of Madanganj. This part of town has been around for a long time, and you can tell by the way the roads are. Padam Prabhu Marble Pvt. Ltd. is just one of the many businesses here. Our plot isn't the biggest, but we pack a lot of stone into it. We've got marble from different places, and it stays out in the open. The cranes do most of the hard work. I spend a lot of time on the phone talking to suppliers or waiting for the next truck to arrive. It can be a slow process sometimes, especially when the weather is bad. We keep things pretty informal around here. There’s no front desk or secretary. If you come by, you’ll probably find us near the loading bay or checking the edges of the slabs for cracks. It’s honest work, even if it’s a bit messy with the slurry and the noise. Most of our neighbors do the same thing, so we all know each other. We’ve been at this same spot for years, and not much has changed inside the yard. We just keep moving stone. It’s a simple life. We close up early on Sundays to get some rest. Sometimes kids from the nearby houses play near the gates until we tell them to move along. It is what it is.
