N.S. Marbles Pvt. Ltd. is based at Plot No G 31 in the III Phase of the Industrial Area in Madanganj. This part of town is strictly for business. There aren't many shops or houses around, just big industrial plots and warehouses. Our site is a large space where we keep a whole lot of stock. Because it is the third phase, it feels a bit more spread out than the older parts of the industrial zone. We spend our days coordinating with the trucks that come to pick up the marble and making sure the loaders know which bundles go where. It is a lot of logistics and physical coordination. The office is just a functional room at the front of the plot where we keep the logs and the phone. It gets pretty hot out here on the paved ground, so we try to stay in the shade when we can. We are a private limited company on paper, but we don't act like a big corporate office. Most of the time, the directors are right there on the floor checking the slabs alongside the workers. We’ve been in this plot for a few years now, and it has become our second home. It is not a glamorous job, but there is a certain satisfaction in seeing the big crates of stone loaded up and sent off to different parts of the country every week.
