Marble Granite Stone

Out here on Tukra Road in the Madanganj industrial area, things move pretty fast. We’ve got Marble Granite Stone set up right where the trucks are always passing by. It’s noisy and there’s always someone shouting over the sound of the cutters, but it’s home for us. We deal with granite and marble mostly, just whatever comes off the trucks from the nearby mines. Sometimes the colors aren't exactly what someone wants, so we spend a lot of time walking through the rows of slabs trying to find that one piece that fits. It’s a lot of walking on uneven ground. We don’t really do big advertisements. Most people just know we are here or they see the sign when they're driving toward the main market. The office is small, just enough space for a desk and a couple of chairs where we drink tea and talk about the prices. Dealing with stone is heavy work. My back hurts most evenings, but seeing a load leave on a truck feels good. We get all sorts of buyers, from people building a small house to guys doing big projects. We treat everyone about the same. It’s just about getting the stone moved and making sure the measurements are mostly accurate so there aren't problems later. We keep the yard open until sunset usually, or whenever the last customer finally leaves and we can lock the gate for the night and go home.
