Manan Marble

Our place is located on Harmara Road, right there near Siddharth and Keshav Marbles. It is a busy stretch of road in the Madanganj industrial area of Ajmer. Being on Makarana Road means there is always a lot of traffic, mostly big lorries carrying heavy loads of stone from the quarries. We have been operating out of this spot for a while now. The yard is usually full of different blocks and cut pieces. It is loud here because of the machinery and the trucks, but you get used to it after a few days. We spend a lot of time walking around the yard with people who are trying to pick out the right shade for their houses. Stone is a tricky thing because no two pieces ever look exactly the same. You might see a vein in one slab that isn't in the next one. We try to keep a variety of stuff on hand so there is something for everyone. My family has been around the marble trade for a long time, so we know most of the people nearby. We don't have a big office with air conditioning. Usually, we just sit on some stools under the shade when the sun is high. It’s practical work. We check the measurements, help with the loading, and make sure the paperwork is sorted for the highway. It is a decent life here in the heart of the marble district and we stay busy most of the time.
