Bhandari Marble Company

If you drive down Makrana Road near the Makrana Chorha Kisan Road, you’ll find our yard easily. Bhandari Marble Company is right there in Kishangarh. It’s a bit of a dusty place because of all the stone being cut and moved around. We have big slabs of marble sitting out in the open yard. Most of the stone comes from the local quarries nearby. You can really see the veins in the rock when we splash some water on it. We spend a lot of our time moving these heavy pieces around with the crane. It’s slow, careful work. You can’t rush stone or it might crack or chip on the edges. We’ve seen a lot of changes in the Kishangarh area over the years, but the marble business stays pretty much the same. People come in looking for something specific for their kitchen or floors. We walk them through the long rows of slabs. Some are bright white, some have grey streaks, and others are a bit darker. It’s all just natural stuff taken from the ground. The sun hits the yard pretty hard in the heat of the afternoon, so we try to do the heavy lifting early in the day. Our office is small and usually has a bit of grit on the windows no matter how much we clean it. We drink a lot of chai while talking to the drivers. It’s just how we spend our days.
