Maa Padmawati Marble

Maa Padmawati Marble is situated in the IV Phase of Madanganj, right near the Marble Mandi. It’s a very active area for the stone trade. We've got our yard set up there and we spend most of our time out in the sun with the marble. We don't have any polished sales pitches or a fancy lobby. Most of the time, we're wearing our work clothes and have dust on our boots. That’s just the nature of working with stone all day. We have all kinds of slabs leaning against the frames, and we walk customers through to show them the different grains and colors. We don't try to dress things up or make the stone sound like something it isn't. It’s natural material and it has its own character, including some imperfections here and there. We just tell people the truth about what we have. If a piece has a crack, we point it out. It’s better to be honest than to have someone upset later. The noise from the Mandi is constant, but you get used to it after a few days. We're just a small group of people working hard to keep the business going. We appreciate when local folks stop by to see what we’ve got. It’s a straightforward way to make a living, and we’re happy to be part of the Madanganj community.
