Maa Ambe Marble

Our yard is sitting on Harmada Road in Madanganj, which is not far at all from the Marble Mandi. It is a very busy spot, especially in the early morning hours when all the trucks are arriving to drop off new loads. We have been operating from this same yard for quite some time now. The space is mostly filled up with stacks of marble slabs that are just waiting for someone to pick them for a new home. We do not have any fancy displays or bright lights to show off the stone. It is just the raw marble sitting out in the open air. Sometimes when it rains, the water makes the colors really stand out, and that is when the marble looks the most interesting. We talk to all sorts of people during the day, from big contractors to families who are just building their very first house. Everyone is looking for something a bit different, so we try to keep a good mix of stock on hand. My brother and I run the place together most days. We sit in the small bit of shade we have when we can and drink a lot of water because the heat can be quite something here. We do not really follow any kind of strict corporate schedule. If someone shows up a bit late, we usually stay open to help them. It is a local business and we try to be helpful.
