M. M. Marbles

We are located over at M. M. Marbles on Makrana Road, right here in Madanganj, District Ajmer. This road is famous for stone, and we are just one of the many businesses that have set up shop along this stretch. Our yard is filled with marble from the local area. We spend our days out in the yard, checking the quality of the slabs and talking to the drivers who bring them in. It is a very hands-on job. The dust gets into everything, but you get used to it after a few days. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. We just rely on people seeing our stock as they drive by. The sun can be quite brutal here, so we have a small shaded area where we sit and have our lunch. It is a simple life, focused on the work at hand. We know the history of the stone in this region, and we just know which pieces are good. We’ve lived in Ajmer for most of our lives, so we know the people and the way things work around here. It’s not a corporate environment; it’s more like a family business where everyone knows their job. If you’re traveling down Makrana Road, you will see us. We don’t have any fancy displays, just the stone itself sitting out in the open. It’s honest work, and we plan to keep doing it for many more years to come without changing the way we do things.
