Kirti Marble

We set up Kirti Marble at Shop No 4 in the Riico Industrial Area. It’s on Paryavaran Marg, which gets pretty dusty with all the trucks moving around. We have different slabs of stone sitting out front and inside the shop. Some are local, some come from further away. When people come in, they usually want to see the patterns in the stone or check how thick the slabs are. We don't have a big showroom with air conditioning or anything like that. It’s just us and the stone. We spend a lot of time moving pieces around with the lifter so customers can see the bottom of the pile. Sometimes we get a bit of help from the guys next door if a piece is too heavy. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and measuring. We talk to contractors mostly, but some homeowners come by too. We show them what we have in stock at the moment. It changes depending on what the trucks bring in. The edges can be sharp, so we tell people to watch their hands. We’ve been at this spot for a while now. It’s noisy because of the industrial zone, but it’s a good place to work. We just try to provide what people need for their floors or counters. No big speeches, just marble and granite in the yard.
