Khandelwal Marble

You can find Khandelwal Marble over on Paryavaran Road. It is pretty close to the main Marble Mandi here in Madanganj. The road can get a bit bumpy and rough because of all the heavy loaders passing through, but it is the heart of the stone trade in this region. I have spent a huge part of my life around these heavy slabs. My father used to do this same work, and now I am the one here every day. We do not really have a sales pitch or any marketing talk. People just come in, look at the marble stacks, and decide if they like the color or if the price works for them. We try to keep a decent variety in the yard so there is usually something for different tastes. Sometimes we get pieces that have really nice veins and patterns, and other times it is just the plain white stuff that people want for basic flooring. The yard is usually a bit of a mess with stone pieces and sand, but we know exactly where everything is located. We spend almost all of our time outside, even when the sun is beating down on us. There is a lot of hard manual work involved in moving these heavy stones around. We have a few guys who help us with the heavy lifting and loading the trucks. It is a tough job on the back, for sure, but it is what we do.
